Development History
This site was developed at the end of 1998 as a tool to help those looking to identify flags they saw that were unfamiliar to them. The images were created by Edward Mooney, Jr., and his friends from the Flags of the World Group.

This site does not claim to illustrate and categorize all flags ever flown. The purpose of Flag Detective is to have the most commonly sighted flags shown. We would urge you to explore the Flags of the World web site for additional information.

If you believe that a flag you have seen should be listed here, please email TeacherEdwardMooney.com with a description of the flag.
